Kit C1B contains the vital instrumentation for over ninety per cent of the Commissioning battery of tests as described in the proposed AV 9000 standard. These instruments calibrate, as well as verify the calibration of engineered audio visual systems, and allow system performance to be recorded. The Kit includes Y-cables, adapters, and accessories to facilitate sampling the voltages in a system under test while it is performing.

This selection affords a very portable, highly reliable solution with excellent accuracy that is easy and intuitive to use. Where instruments are used for calibration, they themselves can readily be calibrated to an NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable standard for ISO 9001:2000 requirements. When used in conjunction with Kit C2B and a laptop with the appropriate software, all of the tests in the AV 9000 proposed standard can be completed with ease.

Kits are sold “complete”, since many of the tests require more than one instrument to perform, and valuable time may be lost in re-establishing kit integrity in preparation for a scheduled commissioning.
