Mario J. Maltese, CTS-D, CTS-I

Mario received his MSEE from Stevens Institute, New Jersey, and his BSEE from Pratt Institute, New York. Commissioned as a Signal Officer in the USAR, Mario fulfilled duties that, besides command, included Training and Maintenance Management. Became Chief Engineer for Norcon Electronics, a major New York City Commercial Sound distributor. Spearheaded dozens of sound, intercom, and video systems projects. Developed a self-contained intercom system for use across bulletproof glass that is currently in use in subway tollbooths and movie theaters, and was later patented. Joined Sound Systems, Inc., as a Project Engineer in October 1976. It is here that he received invaluable experience with designing, engineering, and managing large, prestigious projects such as the sound system for the New York State Assembly. Co-Founded Tamco Systems, Inc. (TSI) in 1978, which became the largest AV Systems House in the NYC Metro area. Over $50M in systems work was furnished. Among other projects, designed the sound system for the main Trading Floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Became Chief Executive Officer. Became Vice-President of Kaltman-Boise, Inc. (KBI, Systems, and later renamed World Audio Visual Enterprises, Inc.) of Mountainside, New Jersey, in 1993. Responsible for the training and development of the Engineered Systems Group. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, a Certified Technology Specialist Design (CTS-D) and Install (CTS-I) and holds an Amateur Extra Class FCC license. He was the technical committee chair for ICIA’s job force development initiative in the Skills USA national competition. He is currently a Senior Faculty member at the Infocomm International Academy, and formerly the Curriculum SubCommittee Chair for the Professional Education and Training Committee of the ICIA (PETC). Awarded the prestigious "Educator of the Year 2004-2005" by PETC. He has successfully completed course work in the technical, managerial, and financial areas, and is often quoted and published in major trade journals.

James E. Maltese, CTS-D, CTS-I

Jim received his MSME from Stanford University, and his BSME from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been formally educated in management and leadership, engineering ideas, problem solving, and presentation skills. His undergraduate education focused on management, manufacturing, and presentations, while he pursued more of a design oriented program in his masters training. He worked his way up through the ranks as an AV technician, assembling as well as installing. A few years later, he was promoted to a Project Engineer (Project Manager/Engineer), and led very successful and profitable projects in the high-pressured, high-profile financial markets from design to integration to completion. Jim is an ICIA Certified Technology Specialist Design (CTS-D), as well as a Certified Technology Specialist Install (CTS-I), and a full Infocomm Academy Faculty Instructor. He is the recipient of Infocomm International's 2009 "Young AV Professionals" for his service to the industry, the community, and to his company. He is also a licensed amateur radio operator, N2NIW. While majoring in biomechanical engineering, he received a concentration in Theater while at MIT, and is a lifetime member of Thespian Troop #276 from Mineola High School.


Lorraine A. (Lorrie) Morrow

Lorrie received her Associates Science degree from Nassau CC, and her ISO 9000 Registered Internal Auditor Training from Stat-A-Matrix Institute. Besides her extensive training and experience in financial administration, Lorrie managed the field service operation for TSI, which included the establishment and documentation of field service procedures, maintaining preventive maintenance contract status, and scheduling and dispatching field personnel. While at World Audio Visual Enterprises (formerly KBI Systems), and based on her experience at TSI, Lorrie helped organize and grow the preventive maintenance operation by over 400% per year for the 5 years she worked in that capacity before moving on to become the Assistant Director of Operations, Administrative. She is the Chairman of Communications for the American Red Cross in Nassau County, and an amateur radio operator (KC2CHA). She is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, the National Association of Female Executives, the Female Audio Visual Executives, and the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
