Testing and Verification Services

Today’s audiovisual systems have become more complex, to the point that it is more difficult for owners, and even AV designers to confirm whether or not a system is in compliance with the original intent. Because of this, there is an urgent need to have third party, truly independent testing of every aspect of the design. Given that it is advisable to have someone other than the writer proofread a document, think of how much more important it is to have a disinterested third party, one not part of the original design team, meticulously test and verify any audio visual system procurement of substance.

There is none more qualified to verify, test, and document the performance of an engineered audiovisual system than AVR. Consider that AVR is:

  • Fully trained and certified in both design and installation (the only enterprise with two dual (CTS-D and CTS-I) advanced certifications.
  • The only AV firm ISO 9001:2000 certified in the Northeast
  • Fully equipped with the necessary calibrated instrumentation to measure and document performance
  • The firm whose principals regularly teach and evaluate prospective candidates at the Infocomm Academy. Mario Maltese is a Senior Instructor, and regularly reviews or authors Academy materials. James Maltese regularly evaluates candidates for advanced certification. Both are regular presenters at Infocomm.
  • The firm that provides an objective report generated that addresses the product, the performance, and the practices used, based on the specifications, drawings, and standard industry practices
  • The firm with reasonable fees due to efficient, proven technique.
  • A Gold Level Certified AV Solutions Provider, the highest level attainable
  • Several manufacturers often meet with AVR's principals to take advantage of their education and experience before they freeze a design for a new product.
  • AVR has been the driving force for improving the quality in the AV industry, in their roles in the Infocomm International Association.  The Association's recent cry for embracing standards and quality initiatives is directly in response to AVR's lobbying and industry presentations.

The issues that are uncovered oftentimes speed the completion of the installation and commissioning, focusing on the key problem areas, allowing the system to be turned much faster. The owner benefits by having trades free the premises more quickly.  In fact, clients are amazed at the dramatic reduction in the punch lists, which are generally cleared in a few days, as opposed to a few months.

Designers benefit from the level of technical detail of reports that can only be generated by extensive instrumentation and training. Integrators benefit because when they complete their work properly, it can be confirmed quickly, allowing their field teams to go to another project, and they can receive their payment retentions quicker.
